Communities dedicated to painted rocks
Long before RockQuest was created, Facebook communities dedicated to painted rocks already existed. The idea is simple: someone paints a rock, hides it, and usually writes the group’s name on the back. When someone else finds it, they can post a photo in the group so its creator knows it has been discovered and can follow its journey. The finder can then keep it or hide it again to continue the adventure.
When you hide a rock with RockQuest, you can also share it in these Facebook communities at the same time. The two systems complement each other: the more people who take part, the farther the rocks travel, the more discoveries are made, and the more exciting the adventure becomes!
