Welcome to Love on the rocks ®️ - Pays de la Loire, LOTR 44, 49, 53, 72 and 85 ^____^ Your creations and finds can be posted here as well as in the “France” group. This group will also host regional challenges and events.
Very popular in the United Kingdom, this free and simple hobby allows children and adults alike to spread a little cheer. Let us bring it to France: paint rocks, hide them in nature or near your home, and let strangers discover them by chance. The more participants there are, the greater everyone's chance of finding one ❤️
You can show your creations, give a vague indication of the area where they are hidden — an area of town, a park, etc. —, post a photograph of a painted rock you found, much to its creator's delight if they see it, and ask your questions about this hobby.
- Be kind to one another.
- By sharing your work, you agree that others may use it as inspiration. If you do not want your design used as an example, do not post it or state this clearly.
- Every artistic skill level is welcome, from professionals to people trying a marker for the first time; having fun and creating are what matter.
- Encourage people who post their rocks: a kind word is always appreciated.
- If space permits, write “Love on the rocks France,” optionally with your department number, on the back to invite the finder to join the community and perhaps post a photograph.
- You can also write: “keep or re-hide.”
You will need stones — rocks, pebbles or pieces of slate —, paint, with acrylic giving the best result although experimentation and innovation are allowed, paintbrushes and/or acrylic paint markers such as Posca or Action. To protect the artwork, apply varnish by brush or spray in a well-ventilated place; you may also prefer a temporary creation and omit the varnish.
