About the community
Welcome to everyone who wishes to join the Love on the rocks — Alsace area community.
Very widespread in the United Kingdom, this hobby gives adults and children a simple, free way to spread good cheer. Let us bring it to France: paint rocks, hide them in nature and allow strangers to find them, by chance or almost by chance. The more participants there are, the greater the chances of encountering a painted rock ❤️
Here you can show your creations, give a vague indication of their hiding places, post a photograph of a rock you discovered — its painter will be delighted if they see it — and ask your questions about this hobby.
- Be kind to one another.
- By posting a creation, you agree that others may use it as inspiration. If you do not want it used as an example, do not post it or state this clearly.
- Every artistic level is welcome, from professionals to complete beginners; the goal is to create while having fun.
- Feel free to leave a kind word for members who show their rocks.
- If you have enough space, write love on the rocks France on the back to invite the finder to join the community and perhaps share a photograph.
- Also specify whether you would like the rock to be hidden again.
You will need rocks, paint — acrylic gives the best finish on stone —, paintbrushes and/or Sharpie or Posca markers, and varnish to be brushed or sprayed on in a well-ventilated place to protect your creation 💜💛
