About the community
Welcome, everyone. Here is an introduction for those who would like to join the trouve mon galet Toulouse community ❤ This group’s introduction is largely based on that of Trouve ton galet 65, a wonderful source of inspiration and motivation ❤
It works simply: paint stones, hide them in nature and let strangers discover them by chance—or almost by chance. You may provide a few clues, for example with photographs of the location.
Reminder concerning painted rocks ⚠️
Only stones and rocks are accepted. Do not add Fimo clay, salt dough, plastic decorations or any other material that could harm our planet 🌏 Be aware that collecting rocks, particularly along the coast, is regulated by law and failure to comply may expose you to fines.
This group is devoted to sharing and enjoyment. Any political, religious or other debate unrelated to our activity is prohibited. It is not intended for solicitation either: marabouts, people engaging in dubious Western Union transactions, or strange profiles inviting members to undress or pay to watch should move along.
Mutual respect and cordiality are naturally essential. If there is a problem, contact a moderator or administrator.
If you find a “trouve mon galet Toulouse” stone
You may post a photograph in the group and say where you found it, where you hid it, or whether you preferred to keep it. The person who created it will be very happy 😊
Creating rocks or stones
Supplies are available from arts and crafts shops, supermarkets or online.
- Base coat: not essential, but it often gives a better finish. Acrylic paint, applied with a brush or spray, generally provides good coverage.
- Design: you may use any felt-tip pen or marker, bearing in mind that the finish and durability will vary. Acrylic paint pens are the most commonly used.
- Back: write “trouve mon galet Toulouse” with a small Facebook logo. You may also add “garde moi, fais moi voyager, ou cache moi à nouveau”.
- Varnish: if you want to preserve the design over time, apply it with a brush or spray.
Above all, remember that everyone has talent: you only need to let it express itself.
