Trouve mon galet 17
This treasure hunt from England is very simple. Start by decorating a pebble with Posca pens, acrylic paint, or permanent markers. Then cover it with a coat of clear varnish to protect it from the weather. If you would like to hear about it again, write “Trouve mon galet 17” and ythe group’s name on the back.
Once it is completely dry, place it somewhere strategic while out for a walk: on a bench, at a bus stop, in town, in a park… wherever you like. Photograph it, then post the picture on the “Trouve mon galet 17” page with a small clue about its hiding place, such as the town name, a street, or a nearby monument.
Intrigued by the writing on the back, those who find it can join the adventure by sharing their discovery. They then leave the pebble somewhere else, and so on: that is the idea behind travelling pebbles.
Even if the pebble is never found, the fun remains: creating it and then going out to hide it is an enjoyable activity open to everyone. The activity combines creation with the search for travelling pebbles.
Reminder: collecting pebbles from the seashore is prohibited. You can find them in fields, along paths, in a gravel pit, or buy them from a DIY or garden shop.
