About the community
A warm welcome to ElbStones! Our idea is to decorate stones and release them somewhere in the city. Other people discover them, enjoy them and later leave them again in a new place. (English information is available through the link below.) ❤️
There is only one truly important rule; everything else is common sense: Do NOT glue ANYTHING to the stones, as this could harm animals and the environment.
Also, do not leave stones on business premises, especially on food or refrigerated shelves. The back should bear an appropriate, clearly legible reference to ElbStones, preferably together with the Facebook symbol—the white f on a blue background. The text should ask finders to photograph their discovery and upload it to our Facebook group.
If you find a stone, please take a photo and post it in the ElbStones Facebook group, including the location. You can mark the post “FOUND”. If you show your own lovingly designed stones, please use “CREATED” in the post. Preferably post stones that you genuinely intend to release as ElbStones.
We paint for the joy of it and know that only a very small proportion of stones promptly appear in the correct group. Our aim is to share joy and put a smile on other people’s faces. Are you joining us?
