About the community
Hello and welcome to LGVA — Les galets voyageurs athois.
Have you discovered a rock, are you wondering about the game, or would you like to take part? The idea, intended for young and old alike, is simple:
Collect rocks, decorate them, then write the FB logo, LGVA, and a sentence such as “Move me or keep me, but share an update in this group” on the back. Hide them during your walks. You can post a photograph in the FB-LGVA group together with a clue about your hiding place.
While out and about, you may be lucky enough to find one. You can keep it or move it, photographing it and sharing an update in this group. The best part is using holidays to send the rocks travelling beyond our borders.
To try it yourself, paint a natural object: a pebble, stone, rock or piece of shale. People from Ath can buy rocks of all sizes at the army-surplus store for 0,65€/kg.
Share your artwork and discoveries here. I started in 2021 and have continued to improve ever since. Every week, simple tutorials, games and challenges are offered, with no obligation to participate; they are only there to inspire you.
To identify your rock easily, you may choose your own hashtag. Mine, for example, combines my dogs' names: #tanscar.
Thank you in advance for joining us on this wonderful adventure.
Kind regards,
The LGVA team
