About the community
Welcome to the trouve mon galet 65 community ❤
The idea is to paint stones, hide them outdoors, and let strangers find them by chance—or almost by chance. You can post a photo of the location and give a few clues by adding, for example, #laville to your message. The aim is to bring happiness; the pebbles may travel a greater or lesser distance, or remain where they are 😊
⚠️ Only stones and pebbles are accepted ⚠️
Collecting: regulations govern the removal and placement of pebbles, particularly in the following places:
- ⚠️ PARC NATIONAL DES PYRENEES ⚠️: http://www.pyrenees-parcnational.fr/fr/le-parc-national-des-pyrenees/la-reglementation/cueillette-et-prelevement — ⚠️⚠️ collecting and leaving them there are prohibited ⚠️⚠️
- Coastlines: https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/actualites/A13550
Depending on the circumstances, failure to comply with these regulations may expose you to fines.
Posts and conduct
This group is dedicated to sharing and enjoyment. Political, religious, or other debates unrelated to our activity are prohibited. Nor is it a place for solicitation: fortune-tellers, people involved in dubious Western Union transactions, and strange profiles offering to undress or pay to watch should move along.
Mutual respect and cordial exchanges are required. Contact a moderator or administrator about any problem.
When you find a “trouve mon galet 65” stone
You can share a photo in the group, stating where it was found (#laville), where you hid it again (#laville), or that you chose to keep it 😉 This news will make the person who created it very happy 😊
Creating a pebble
Supplies can be bought from craft shops, supermarkets, or online.
- Base coat: optional, but it often improves the result. Acrylic paint, whether sprayed or brushed on, generally provides good coverage.
- Design: any felt-tip pen or marker may be suitable, but the appearance and durability vary. Acrylic markers are the most common and are available from shops including Action 😊 Environmentally responsible paints applied with a brush are also available.
- Back: write “#trouve mon galet 65” with a small Facebook logo. You may also add “garde moi, fais-moi voyager, ou recache moi 😜”.
- Varnish: essential for preserving your design. Apply it with a brush or spray it from at least 20cm away from the stone.
No additions: no Fimo clay, salt dough, adhesive tape, plastic decorations, or any other material that could harm our planet 🌏
Finally, you do not need to be an artist to try the adventure: even your simplest creations will make people happy 😍
