About the community
This activity is intended to be enjoyable for people of every age and ability. Be creative and spend time outdoors :)
Participation is simple: decorate rocks and leave them outside for other people to discover, perhaps on a park bench, at a playground, or in a flower bed. Once finished, spraying them with clear gloss paint sealer is recommended to protect the design from weather. On the back, write: “Keep or hide, but post on FB page Happy Rocks Goldsboro NC”. You are welcome to post photographs of rocks you find.
- Respect private property and businesses. Do not leave a rock inside a business without the owner’s or manager’s permission.
- Rocks must not contain advertising.
- Never glue any objects to them. Pieces could detach, harm wildlife, or be treated as litter. Use paint and sealer only.
- Do not remove rocks from landscaped features; that is theft.
- Do not place rocks where a lawnmower might hit them.
- This is a family-focused group, so all content must be rated “E” for everyone. Profanity is completely forbidden, as is anything involving drugs, alcohol, racism, and so on: “E” means everyone.
- Please avoid drama. If a problem arises, send me a private message; nobody wants drama here.
