About the community
GGStones Bunte Steine welcomes beginners, long-standing members and experienced painters. It aims to offer a comfortable setting for exchanging ideas and encouraging one another.
The group sees stones as a way to connect people and turn strangers into friends. Members paint and leave stones for others to enjoy. Everyone may show their work, regardless of skill, age or the stone’s purpose.
Participants may show, paint, leave, keep or simply observe stones, according to their preferences. Stones may also be given away or sent. Sales enquiries must go exclusively to the artist by private message.
The albums contain tutorials, while Featured lists current activities. Several times a year, the group organises auctions of selected stones by its artists, always for a good cause.
- The group places particular importance on friendly interaction.
- Everyone may show stones. Stones that are not GGStones must be labelled “No group designation”.
- Sales and direct purchase enquiries are prohibited; interested members must contact the artist privately.
- Stones left outdoors must be sealed. The group specifies clear varnish WITHOUT solvents for acrylic paint and acrylic pens, and clear varnish WITH solvents for water-soluble pens.
- Nothing may be glued to stones left out, including sequins, glitter, feathers, beads or similar items.
- Everyone is responsible for their own designs. Copying protected designs is at the participant's own risk.
