The Trouve Mon Galet Belgique hunt is now open. Very popular in England, Canada and the United States under names such as Smilesstones, Rocks and Stone, The Kindness Rocks Project or Love on the Rocks, this activity is simple and fun for children and adults alike.
How can you take part?
During your walks, collect pretty rocks from nature and take them home to decorate. On a later outing, leave them wherever you wish so that other people can discover them and send them travelling.
You will need paint, preferably acrylic, ordinary pencils for sketching, a permanent marker for drawing outlines, and varnish glue to prevent the picture from disappearing. Do not use anything that could become litter, particularly stick-on eyes, wire or small pieces of paper.
Being good at drawing is not essential: we promise we are not demanding, and every rock is beautiful. What matters is enjoying decorating, hiding and discovering them. If you lack ideas, take inspiration from creations posted in the group.
Write Trouve Mon Galet Belgique on the back to invite the finder to join us. After hiding a rock, post it in the group with a vague indication of its location so that people in the area can set off in search of it.
Invite your contacts: the more participants there are, the greater everyone’s chances of finding a Trouve Mon Galet Belgique rock.
